Directed by: Quentin Tarantino
Starring: Brad Pitt, Christoph Waltz & Mélanie Laurent
Quentin Tarantino’s audacious rewrite of recent history may be his best film yet. The dialogue is stunning and worth noting not entirely in English which is an even greater feat for the Tenessee born director. It has been beautifully photographed creating wonderful tension, the opening sequence is particularly strong setting the tone of the film. Christoph Waltz deserves a special mention for his brilliant performance.

Documenting the process of developing one of the most influential publications in fashion, Vogue’s September issue. It is surprising to witness Editor-In-Chief Anna Wintour far less articulate then expected or perhaps uncomfortable in with the camera. By contrast Vogue’s creative director Grace Coddington is charming, passionate and talented, quickly stealing the spotlight from Anna. The remaining staff members appeared as parodies of the fashion industry, providing only comic relief. The September Issue is an interesting documentation of fashion as it is perceived by those behind Vogue.
For those interested in another glimpse into the world of fashion, The Lagerfeld Confidentials is a far more personal insight.
Thank you Map for another great screening, and happy 10th birthday.
